Erizo´s red eye or green michelada?

At Erizo, we not only pride ourselves in offering our Tijuana-style seafood, but also our rich Mexican culture. Among our beverage options, micheladas stand out as a favorite for something casual, and today we invite you to get to know their unique and spicy flavors.

Birth of Micheladas

Micheladas have their roots in Mexico, where they developed as a local and creative version of the prepared beer. The mixture of beer with lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and salt on the rim of the glass quickly became a classic for social gatherings, parties and moments of relaxation.

Our Micheladas

At Erizo, we have two types of refreshing micheladas and to make your experience the best with each one we recommend pairing them with some of the following star dishes:

Ojo Rojo: Combines beer with tomato juice, clamato, lime and our homemade chamoy. For an extra touch of texture and flavor, served with dried and cooked shrimp, it is perfect for a relaxed lunch or an outdoor meal.

Ideal for those who enjoy a more classic, smooth taste. Perfect with light dishes with a touch of the sea, such as Crispy Calamari: Crunchy and delicious, these calamari become even more irresistible with a chilled michelada and Shrimp Snack: These zarandeados shrimp offer a robust flavor that pairs excellently with both micheladas.

Ojo Verde: With beer, tomato juice, aguachile, lime and our homemade chamoy, this michelada is an explosion of freshness and flavor. It’s also paired with dried and cooked shrimp for a complete experience for more robust dinners or late-night gatherings

Perfect for those looking for a cooler drink with a spicy twist. Ideal for more robust and spicy meals such as Soft Shell Crab Tacos: The softness and freshness of the crab perfectly complements the spicy and acidic flavors of the micheladas and a Tijuana Style Beef Cheeks Stew: The intensity and juiciness of the barbacoa balances beautifully.

Enjoy at Home

If you prefer to enjoy a michelada in the comfort of your home, we recommend preparing it with a cold beer, fresh lime juice, hot sauce to taste and a touch of salt on the rim of the glass. Accompany it with your favorite snacks, guacamole, chicken wings or ceviche, and immerse yourself in the pleasure of good food and good company.

We know that at Erizo, you will be able to find something you like, from delicious seafood to refreshing drinks. We are waiting for you to enjoy a pleasant time!
